Recent reports in medical journals detail nickel allergies from a variety of personal electronic devices, including laptops and cellphones. Nickel rashes aren't life-threatening but they can be very uncomfortable, and they may require treatment with steroids and antibiotics if the skin eruptions become infected, said Dr. Sharon Jacob, a dermatologist at Rady Children's Hospital, where a young  patient had to miss school because of the rash. Running regularly has long been linked to a host of health benefits, including weight control, stress reduction, better blood pressure and cholesterol. A study taken, estimates that by the fourth grade, 10 to 13 percent of U.S. children will have high cholesterol.  Of the preteens studied in Texas, one third of them had borderline or high cholesterol.
